1. Acceptance of terms
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Taktrix ("Taktrix", "the app"), a chat plugin for ATAK (Android Team Awareness Kit) published by Caskfive ("Caskfive", "we", "us"). By installing or using Taktrix, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use Taktrix.
2. What Taktrix is
Taktrix is a Matrix-powered, end-to-end-encrypted, decentralized chat plugin that runs inside ATAK. Taktrix connects to the Matrix homeserver you choose (for example, matrix.org) and uses OpenID to sign you in. Taktrix is a client application. It is not a Matrix homeserver and does not operate the Matrix network.
3. License to use
Subject to these Terms, Caskfive grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use Taktrix for its intended purpose. You may not reverse engineer, resell, or redistribute the app except as permitted by applicable law or by a separate written agreement with Caskfive.
4. Your responsibilities
You are responsible for your Matrix account, for the homeserver you connect to, and for your conduct and content when using Taktrix. You agree to use Taktrix in compliance with all applicable laws and with the terms of the Matrix homeserver and ATAK environment you use. You must not use Taktrix for any unlawful, harmful, or abusive purpose.
5. Third-party services
Taktrix relies on third-party services that Caskfive does not control, including the Matrix protocol, your chosen Matrix homeserver, and ATAK. Your use of those services is governed by their own terms and policies. Caskfive is not responsible for the availability, content, or practices of any third-party service.
6. No warranty
Taktrix is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. Caskfive does not warrant that Taktrix will be uninterrupted, secure, or error free.
7. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Caskfive will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, use, or goodwill, arising out of or related to your use of Taktrix.
8. Changes to these terms
Caskfive may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above. Your continued use of Taktrix after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
